Man built house into a cat paradise!

Hello and meow today, we are going to show you a man who built his house into a paradise for cats!

This house was bought in 1988, two outdoor cats moved in and were hit by cars.the first cat died, but the second was alive and had to go to the vet for a surgery. So he made her an indoor cat and to keep her some company they went to the shelter and adopted some cats. They started to get more kittens every year. And when they realized there where so many cats,15!

Sometimes at 2am they start to chase each other and it sometimes can get very loud.Only the catwalks cost $50,000 dollars. They could be a lot cheaper but the catwalks are also like a decoration, they try to make it intresting, the colors, the slides, the bridges, the tunnels. Most of the tunnels have faces, and the shark has teeth so when a cat goes through it scratches the cat’s back. You can’t feel that there are 15 cats in the house because they never stay in the same room.

The favourite place for the cats is the koi pond, they love to look at the fish and sometimes they put their paws in to the pond. They have not tried to eat the fish.

They have about 22 litterboxes and most of them are in closets with ventilation vents put in working 24/7.There are 5 roombas in the house cleaning up after the cats.

Well thanks for reading and meow, until next time.😀🙃

5 amazing facts about cats!🐱

Hello and meow, today we are going to show you quite intresting facts about cats!

1.Why did people tame cats? It is said that we started taming cats about 9500-10000 years ago. They helped on the farms by eating mice and other animals.

2.Why are cats pupils upright?

Image result for cat

One of the most distinctive features of cats is their eyes with upright pups – they are not remotely reminiscent of human or even dog eyes. Scientists at the University of California, Berkeley, have spent a considerable amount of time studying the eyes of various animals, trying to find out how they relate to animal behavior. It turns out that animals that attack their prey from ambush often have vertical pupils. Cats, as you probably know, often seek out their prey rather than actively seeking it. Vertical pupils are also more dynamic – they adapt more quickly to changes in lighting.

3.Cats are better hunters than dogs. Obviously, a pet dog can be bigger than a pet cat. Apart from very small breeds, dogs are stronger and, often, faster than cats. But in evolutionary terms, felines are better hunters than canine competitors. For a very long time, wild cats have been able to hunt so much prey that the number of wild dogs has been steadily declining. More than 2,000 fossils have been investigated by researchers. Wild cats (both large and small) are more widespread in territorial terms than wild dogs.

4.Cats can’t feel sweetness. Cats are one of the few mammals that can’t feel sweetness. Not only the domestic cat, by the way, but also tigers, lions and other species of cat family. It’s hard to say why, but cats don’t need to feel sweet because they eat meat. So why do some cats eat biscuits or lick cakes? They often smell milk or other edible substances. The fact that they do not feel sweet does not mean that sweet food is tasteless to them – it just looks different in cats.

5.Your cat knows it’s name, but it doesn’t care. Does it happen that you call your cat by name and it doesn’t raise it’s eyes? The dog immediately builds its ears and comes, but the cat does not move, no matter how long you repeat its name. One study has shown that cats actually know their names, but they don’t bother to listen to you. Cats are also harder to train (but it is possible). This is because cats were not domesticated to listen to humans. The dogs had to listen to the commands and follow the people to the hunt. Meanwhile, cats simply had to live close by and keep supplies from rodents – they worked independently and were not completely dependent on human food.

Thanks for reading and well bye!😀🙃😀

Why do lions hunt in packs but tigers alone?

Helloand meow today I thought why do lions hunt in packs but tigers alone?Well here is the answer:

It’s down to the different prey types and landscapes in which they hunt. Lions stalk the open savannah in Africa, feeding on the zebra, antelope and wildebeest that live in herds. With hundreds of pairs of eyes and ears listening out for danger there are very few places for a hunter to hide. A group can hunt more by stalking the herd from several directions at once, encircling it. Tigers, meanwhile, live in the jungle where lines of sight are short and it’s much easier to lie in wait for food or creep up within pouncing distance without being seen.A group of tigers hunting together would just increase the likelihood of spooking their prey and, unlike some cats, tigers don’t have the stamina for a prolonged chase, so they normally abandon an attack if they are spotted early.

Why did egyptians worship cats?

Hello and meow, today i asked myself a question, why did the egyptians worship cats? Well it was pretty simple:

Imagine living in a time and place where every home was full with tiny, dangerous beasts. Some threat lurked at every corner: asps (snakes) hiding in clay jars, rats spoiling massive amounts of stored grain, venomous scorpions creeping under cradles. In this time and place– Ancient Egypt– one creature existed that could make the world safe from these little monsters: the cat. The same creatures that now sleep on our pillows were life-saving companions to the people of ancient Egypt. It’s no wonder that generations of Egyptians were drawn to worship them. As egyptians truly domesticated their cats, making them valued family members rather than just animals that stalked and protected their owner’s homes, Bastet’s image became a lot softer– she became a goddess of family, fertility, and love. Egyptians began regarding their cats as loving, important members of their families, and treated them with as much respect and dignity as their own children. Followers of the cult of Bastet would mummify their cats and mourn them in the same way they mourned human family members– and in much the same way we cat-lovers mourn our own furry family members today.

Why do cats sleep so much?

Hello and meow,it’s blog time! Do you ever feel like your cat sleeps so much?Well here is the answer:

The first thing you should realize is that cats are most active between dusk and dawn, which means that they sleep mostly during the day and become active around twilight. This can come as quite a shock if you’re bringing a new kitty home for the first time. Your cat will waste no time investigating and getting into trouble — usually while you’re fast asleep!  But as soon your cat is done with breakfast, as the rest of the world winds up for action, you’ll find him winding down for a long day of slumber. And hunting prey takes an amazing amount of energy. Whether your kitty is hunting for outdoor prey or tackling a catnip toy, all that sleep he gets is reserve energy for running, pouncing, climbing and stalking.Like people, cats either doze in a light sleep or sleep very deeply. When your cat dozes (which lasts about fifteen minutes to a half hour), he will position his body so that he can spring up and into action at a moment’s notice.Cats are crepuscular — which means that they are most active during the twilight hours of dawn and dusk. They tend to lay low in the darker night-time and day-time hours, when other predators may be hanging about. Some cats may be active at night as well, especially when they’re kittens. But, cats are also sociable and highly adaptable. This means that a cat is apt to adjust his sleeping habits so he can spend more time with his loved ones — meaning you. Cats will also adjust their sleep patterns to their feeding schedules, which is why an indoor cat sleeps more than a cat that roams outdoors.

Why are cats scared of…

Hello and meow, and happy new year ( which I should have said 2 days ago).

If you have a cat, then you know how scared they are of water or cucumbers…

Flying cats

But why?

Why are cats scared of cucumbers:

It’s their natural reaction to anything that sneaks up on them without making any noise. Cats tend to be scared or wary of the unknown, as it could represent the danger of a predator, and in the case of a cucumber, a snake.

Why are cats scared of water:

This weighs down your cat. While the top layer of the fur is water-resistant to a degree, if the whole coat is drenched, your cat will be uncomfortable. Another reason is cats in colder climates don’t like to get completely wet because it causes them to lose warmth.

Why are cats scared of dogs:

Basically, everything in dog language that says “I like you! Want to play?” translates to “This is my place! Get out of here!” in cat. Dogs with high prey drives—especially terriers and hounds— tend to see cats as just another prey animal to catch, which doesn’t help interspecies relations. Cats are also very cautious by nature and having been chased or threatened once, don’t want to stick around thinking maybe this time it will be different.

Why are cats scared of bananas:

It has been suggested that some cats may dislike or attack bananas based on its shape as prey or potential attacker, but it may be they see it as a toy.
If a cat has an adverse reaction and retreats from a banana, it is more likely that they are reacting to the smell of chemicals in the banana’s outer skin. Many cats also dislike citrus smells and will avoid citrus fruits.  Bananas are not known to be toxic to felines.

Well goodbye and meow, until next time!
